What broke my day: The same thing that made my day. Contacts. Today I finally got contacts after a long time. I needed them (but that's for later). First off I hate going to the eye doctor because it makes my eyes hurt. And then they do that damn thing where they puff air into your eye. Then they get frustrated when I flinch. Of course, I flinch...eyelids are used to protect your eyes from that sort of thing, where did you get an education? Anyways, then the doctor said I have largely curved cornea...what in this sweet blue planet is that supposed to mean? I thought it was supposed to be that way....considering an eye is spherical in shape. Anyways I still got the contacts and am now on a trial pair. But they are uncomfortable. They are so hard to get out...I can get them in fine, and I feel like they keep wrinkling. It's super awkward feeling, and it keeps making my eye go blurry. I know I've got a lot to get used too and it will totally be worth it in the end, but it's frustrating right now. They are all awkward and such and make my eyes hurt. Not only that but now I can't hide my dark circles. Yes, I know how to cover them up somewhat, but when you've inherited dark circles so intense that even with makeup I look like I'm on drugs is not my idea of beautiful(thanks dad!). I will have a lot to get used too but for now I'm complaining.
What made my day: The same thing that broke my day. Contacts. I have wanted contacts pretty much since I got glasses but they were too expensive. Now that I'm all grown up I finally got my parents to cave in. It's definitely different not not having glasses anymore, and it's a little bit of a different feeling. Also, now I can actually wear sunglasses, which brings a whole new level to my fashion....I plan on buying like 8 pairs just because now I won't look ridiculous wearing sunglasses over my glasses. I love the fact that getting contacts gives me a whole new world of opportunities. I no longer have to hide behind my smudgy, dirty glasses. Watch out, because what I'm about to say is going to get scandalous. Major pluses of getting contacts: boys and parties. Parties tend to be dark. And I hardly ever wear my glasses in those situations because they get in the way, and I'm worried that they will fall off and get stepped on or some other disaster will happen to them. Glasses and dark parties don't mix. This tends to cause a problem because then I can't accurately decide what boys are cute and what ones are gross...they all look the same. Having contacts will help me keep my high standards to get rid of the uglies...jk...it's the heart that counts....kinda. Also, have you ever made out with glasses on...it can be difficult, so that will make my life a lot easier. Contacts just helped me on my adventures in loose womanhood.
